Brief Description
 

Cultural
Being considered as the remotest barangay in the city, the people believed in "diwata". Due to their economic condition, when people get sick, they get the services of quack doctors instead of going to the nearest hospital because they were not properly informed and educated.
 
Political
A long time ago, their ancestors used bottles to represent each candidate and put it on a table with the corresponding candidate's name labeled on each bottle. The people will vote according to their choice by picking one piece of "mais" or corn then put it into the bottle of the candidate they chose to vote.

  • Cabawan is God-centered, drug-free and peaceful community where hospitality is a humanitarian concern.
  • This environmental-friendly and economically stable barangay develops a healthy environment and free from pollution.

Mission
 
  • To promote livelihood programs through government and NGOs to upgrade economic life of the constituents.
  • To coordinate with the City Government for the development and maintenance of City Park and other eco-tourism potential destination within the barangay.
  • To implement a proper waste disposal through collaborative effort with the City Government.
