Political Subdivisions

There are seven purok organized in the barangay namely: Purok 1 – Centro1, Purok 1 – Centro2, Purok 2 – Candait, Purok 3 – Antipolo, Purok 4 – Catugasan, Purok 5 – Carao-an and Purok 6 – Cadre Heights. The purok is headed by an elected Barangay Kagawad. Every purok is further sub-divided into units of twenty to thirty families headed by the unit leaders. The present service delivery system of the barangay is coursed through the 7 puroks and 48 cluster or units.

The New Central Business District

The newly born Satellite City is actually located in DAMPAS. It houses the Public Market and Integrated Bus Terminal Projects. All passengers to and from Tagbilaran City pass the Bus Terminal. The Satellite City is a new growth center where some government offices and commercial establishments including the new City Hall will be soon constructed. There are new housing subdivisions in the area namely the St. Joseph Village, Mercedes Village and other new residential houses are sprouting in the barangay. The famous National Power Corporation- Bohol Grid is also situated in the barangay. This grid provides electricity in Tagbilaran City and some parts of Bohol. The soon to be constructed University of Bohol and the Divine Word College is now in Dampas.
