The terrain of Barangay Dao is wide with some sloping areas. It's fertile is suited for corn, coconuts and rootcrops like cassava, camote and the famous kinampay which Bohol is known for. Variety of vegetables are also grown.
The vast majority of the people are self-employed while others engaged in farming, hog raising, laborer anf planting fruit bearing trees. As per survey, mostly of the family supporters are permanent employee snd showed increase of number of employed individuals (government/private) every year.
For three years time now, business establishments heve been constructed; gasoline stations, warehouses, water refilling stations, machine shops, pawnshops and the famous Julies and Jojies bakeshops that only shows fast growing barangay in the entire city not to mention the ever beautiful Island City Mall which part of it belongs to Dao District.
