Barangay Tiptip is located the the northernmost part of the city. It is bordered on its north by the Municipality of Cortes, on its west by Barangays Manga and Ubujan, on its south by Dao, and on its east by Cabawan and San Isidro.

The geological characteristics of the place is generally rocky and moderately sloping suited for various crops particularly ubi, corn and other root crops. Coconut trees and bananas are abundant in the place.

Tiptip is fast becoming a residential area with the emergence of housing projects like the Uptown Housing and Lindaville Subdivision. The city's new Class "AA" Abattoir can also be found in the barangay.
